In Life is a Song gatherings, our goal is to hear honest testimonies and share ours, sing favorite songs and remember the love in the world, take the hand of our neighbor and feel the peace and understanding of our fellowship. This is a “we” fellowship, it is through our shared experience and our ability to connect with others and the world around us that we have found joy and freedom.
Life is a Song is a movement founded by Hezekiah Ben Shirnai in 2017, when a church in Northfield asked him to lead a “recovery” service. This initial attempt evolved over the next two years into the spiritual gatherings we have now. Amber Chavie helped with the format of the gatherings, the name and the first logo. Mike Billington and Rob Graber were the “band” for these first many years. Bruce Jensen, Sonja Huehn, Bill McGrath and Tim Goodwin have also helped with their musicianship.
As of 2025 we are meeting monthly at Minnehaha Communion Lutheran in Minneapolis, the HotSpot in Northfield and Millstream Commons (home for the elderly) in Northfield.
